They also very kindly had a big Action for Sick Children display in their Playroom throughout April. The hospital catering department provided party food for lunch instead of the normal lunchtime ward food and a specially made chocolate birthday cake which was described as being 'very good' by one party guest. The Play Specialists also brought in a birthday cake to share round. After lunch the party guests were entertained by an entertainer with magic tricks, jokes and balloon modelling. Also their volunteer who helps in the Playroom did some face painting. Party bags were handed out to all the guests and to the Paediatric Assessment Unit. All the parents were delighted with the fact that all the children had such a great day of fun whilst they were in hospital either for a day visit or were staying for a while. They also seemed to appreciate learning about Action for Sick Children and having information that they could keep and pass onto other families with children.

A huge thank you to all our Party Hosts and their guests for helping to make Action for Sick Children's 50th Anniversary Celebrations so very special!!!!
